Overview   of Suffolk University Law School 2024 Fair Housing Conference  “STRONGER TOGETHER: BUILDING THE FUTURE OF FAIR HOUSING”

Hosted by the Suffolk University Law School Housing Discrimination Testing Program and supported by grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

On March 12, 2024 at 12:45 p.m., Land Court Legal Counsel Lauren Reznick, Esq. will join presenters Jean Michael Fana, Education & Advocate Manager at Haborlight Homes and Dr. Kenann McKenzie-DeFranza, President of the North Shore NAACP to speak at the Suffolk University Law School 2024 Fair Housing Conference on a panel discussing “Dirty Deeds: A project to Identify & Expunge Restrictive Covenants.”

Lauren will discuss the Land Court’s Standing Order 2-21, which allows owners or interested parties to challenge discriminatory covenants in land records in a no-cost proceeding in the Land Court known as a “Void Provisions” case.

The 2024 Fair Housing Conference is a two-day event that takes place on March 6 (remote) and March 12 (in-person) and is free and open to all attendees.
