About the Movie:

In the winter of 1945, 855 African American soldiers from the US Army's Women's Army Corps (WACs) were sent to England and France to resolve the backlog of two years worth of mail. Despite racism and sexism, the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion The Six Triple Eight) managed to clear over 17 million pieces of mail, thus raising morale for service members and their families across the globe. In 2022, the Six Triple Eight were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by President Biden.
