Bachelor Brook WMA

Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) are open to the public for fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Description

Mix of white pine, hemlock, and oak forest with small wetlands scattered throughout. The property does not have formal frontage along Bachelor Brook; however, the forested wetlands drain into Bachelor Brook.

Location, access, & parking

There is no formal parking. There is some off street parking along Stebbins Street near the power line crossing. See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

Hunting opportunities

White-tailed deer, black bears, and wild turkey are common in the region.
