Flagg Mountain WMA

Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) are open to the public for fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Description

This 160-acre WMA is a steep mountainous parcel of predominately upland transitional hardwood forests of oak, sugar maple, white pine, and hemlock.

Location, access, & parking

No parking lot currently exists. The property can be accessed from North Warger Road. See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

Hunting opportunities

White-tailed deer, black bear, wild turkey, and gray squirrel offer the best hunting opportunities for this WMA.

A gated road winds its way to the top of the mountain that offers hiking opportunities and views of the surrounding hillsides.
