Description
This property is nearly completely spruce/fir boreal swamp, and the area surrounding the pond is a quaking bog. This area is the remains of the glacial lake eutrophication process and much of the parcel is the remaining peat layers of this process, sometimes as deep as 30 feet. Drier areas are extremely dense with sub-canopy growth.

A small parking lot exists for access to the WMA on Depot Street. See WMA Map.
Note: WMA's are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Hunting opportunities
Hunting opportunities exist for white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, American woodcock, beaver, red squirrels, gray squirrels, raccoon, eastern coyote, fisher, and foxes.
Wildlife viewing & other features
Bird watching is especially interesting at the northern parcels beaver flowage.
