Training and Education on Hepatitis C Testing and Treatment for Health Care Providers. Through a collaboration between BIDLS/DPH and the New England AIDS Education and Training Center (NEAETC), primary care providers can receive education and training on hepatitis C testing and treatment at no cost. Resources available include self-paced, online education (CE credits available) coupled with clinical mentoring and consultation, access to a statewide clinical Community of Practice, as well as training and technical assistance for individual clinics/facilities.  Contact aidsed@neaetc.org for more information.

CDC Recommendations for Hepatitis C Screening Among Adults — United States, 2020 This report presents recommendations from the CDC regarding testing for HCV infection in the US. 

HCV Guidance: Recommendations for Testing, Managing, and Treating Hepatitis C from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA).

Information about HCV for Health Professionals (CDC)
The CDC provides resources for health care providers and public health professionals on a variety of topics, including general information regarding transmission and prevention, statistics about HCV, diagnosis and management of HCV infection, and other resources for health care professionals.

Hepatitis C Online Hepatitis C Online is a free educational web site from the University of Washington and is supported by the CDC. The site is a comprehensive resource that addresses the diagnosis, monitoring, and management of hepatitis C virus infection.

Resources for your patients/clients

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has produced educational materials on hepatitis C .  These materials are designed for individuals who have lived experience with, or would like to learn more about hepatitis C.  These materials are appropriate for anyone because they have been designed to represent and be inclusive of a range of populations in Massachusetts.  Posters, brochures, pocket-sized information cards, and fact sheets may be ordered from the Health Promotion Clearinghouse.
