Description

Hog Ponds WMA features white oak and pitch pine dominated forest with an understory containing common greenbrier and young white pine. This property is divided into 2 parcels which border Harlow Road and a nearby golf course.

Location, access, & parking

There is no formal parking area for this property but roadside parking and access can be obtained from Harlow Road in Sandwich. See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

Hunting opportunities

Due to the proximity of homes, buildings, and roads, hunting opportunities on this WMA are limited. However, there may be limited opportunities to trap furbearers.

Many wildlife species such as eastern coyote, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, gray squirrel, cottontail rabbit, and various songbirds use this property and provide for viewing opportunities.
