Description
Moose Brook WMA consists of mature hardwoods, old apple orchards, overgrown fields, reclaimed fields, wetlands, and a powerline right-of-way.
Location, access, & parking
Parking for this area is off of Wauwinet Road, Old Hardwick Road, Sheldon Road, Blair Road, and Old Dana Road. Each area can accommodate parking for up to 2 vehicles. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Habitat management
Fields throughout this WMA have been reclaimed and fruit trees have been pruned for best fruit production. A majority of the WMA is mowed on a semi-annual basis and a leased field is actively farmed.

Hunting opportunities
With its variety of habitat types, Moose Brook WMA supports numerous game species such as white-tailed deer, black bear, wild turkey, and terrestrial furbearers. The apple trees throughout the WMA provide an attractive food source for many species of wildlife.
Wildlife viewing & other features
The powerline right-of-way offers excellent songbird viewing opportunities, particularly in the spring time.
