Description

Muddy Pond WMA is an open water pond, Muddy Pond, surrounded by a very small amount of emergent/shrub wetland.

Location, access, & parking

The WMA has no road frontage, no formal parking area, and no formal public access. Access on foot may be possible through the northern edge of the capped Carver landfill. See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

Muddy Pond provides good warmwater fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, yellow perch, chain pickerel, sunfish, and panfish.

Wildlife viewing opportunities are limited primarily to aquatic species such as waterfowl, wading birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
