North Egremont WMA

Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) are open to the public for fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Description

The property is adjacent to the North Egremont WCE. The parcel is predominantly hardwoods and provides access to the Green River.

Location, access, & parking

There is a dirt parking area on Rowe Road. The Green River can also be accessed from Route 71 (Egremont Plain Road). See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

This is a small area with limited hunting opportunities.

Fishing opportunities

This WMA provides access to the Green River and is stocked with trout in the spring. Go to mass.gov/trout for more information.
