Description
Plymouth Grassy Pond WMA consists of coastal plain ponds surrounded by pitch pine, white pine, and red oak forests containing a dense understory of huckleberry and scrub oak.
Location, access, & parking
The access to this WMA is on Long Pond Road, about 600 feet north of Mountain Hill Road. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Hunting opportunities
This property provides hunting opportunities for upland game species such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and eastern coyote. It may also present some hunting opportunities for waterfowl on the coastal plain ponds.
Wildlife viewing & other features
This coastal plain pond habitat provides unique bird watching as well as landscape and wildlife photography opportunities.
