Description
Southeast Pine Barrens WMA consists mostly of upland pitch pine and scrub oak along with a small amount of white pine. There is a small stream and associated wetland located in the northwest portion of the property.
Location, access, & parking
This WMA is located in the Town of Plymouth and can be accessed by foot from Glen Charlie Road to the south or Fearing Pond Road from the north. There are no maintained parking areas associated with this property. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Habitat management
During the winter of 2015-2016 an 83-acre forestry project, consisting of tree clearing and underbrush mowing, was conducted on this WMA. The intention of this project was to create habitat for New England cottontail.

Hunting opportunities
This property provides good opportunities to hunt wild turkey, white-tailed deer, and eastern coyote. Cottontail rabbit hunting on this property will continue to improve over time as a result of the clearing created in 2015-2016.
Wildlife viewing & other features
There are good opportunities for viewing both game and non-game species including wild turkey, white-tail deer, eastern coyote, and a long list of songbirds.
