Sucker Brook WMA

Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) are open to the public for fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Description

This property consists of a hardwood ridge and active agricultural fields, with small overgrown fields and old apple trees mixed in. It also has Sucker Brook flowing through it, as well as active beaver impoundments on the west side of the property.

Location, access, & parking

Parking for this area is located on Murphy Road and will accommodate 2 vehicles. See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

Currently, there is active agriculture on the fields. The WMA is also managed for open space.

This is a small WMA with limited hunting opportunities for small game. Beaver impoundments provide for waterfowl hunting opportunities.
