Description
Triangle Pond WMA borders the southeast section of Triangle Pond in Sandwich. This property features a white oak/red maple forest with some white pine and pitch pine. The understory is sparse and may contain sweet pepper bush and common greenbrier.
Location, access, & parking
Access to the property can be gained from Stowe Road, Farmersville Road, or by boat/kayak. A parking area, with space for 3 vehicles, is located off Farmersville Road. From the parking area, the pond can be accessed on foot by an old road cart road or with a car-top boat. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Hunting opportunities
Hunting opportunities may be limited due to nearby roads, a camp, occupied dwellings, and a designated safety area from the parking area to the pond. However, wildlife may be pursued on this property include upland game, cottontail rabbit, gray squirrel, and raccoon.
Fishing opportunities
Triangle Pond is warm water pond with a mean depth of 15 feet, a maximum depth of 30 feet, and is known to contain largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, white perch, and pumpkinseed.
Wildlife viewing & other features
There are opportunities to view waterfowl, many types of song birds, and cottontail rabbit from this property.

This property has a designated safety zone adjacent to the parking area.
