Description
This property covers the steep slopes of Mount Pisgah and abuts two different tracts of the Brimfield State Forest. The habitat on this WMA consists of mature upland forest of central hardwoods (oak, hickory) with minor occurrences of white pine. A pipeline right of way in the southern end of the property provides open habitat.
Location, access, & parking
No official parking area exists but the property can be accessed through the Brimfield State Forest on Mt. Hitchcock Road. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Hunting opportunities
This WMA provides hunting opportunities for white-tailed deer, black bear and eastern coyote.
Wildlife viewing & other features
The steep terrain of this WMA makes it a rugged bushwhack hike for the fit explorer.
