Warwick WMA

Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) are open to the public for fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Description

This property covers the northern aspect slopes of Pitt Hill. The habitat on this property consists of mature upland forest of northern hardwoods (maple, beech, birch) mixed with white pine and hemlock. A small stream bisects the property and eventually flows into Hubbard’s Pond.

Location, access, & parking

No official parking area exists but the property can be accessed from Beech Hill Road and Brush Valley Road. See WMA map.

Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.

Hunting opportunities

This WMA provides hunting opportunities for black bear, white-tailed deer, eastern coyote, and squirrel.

A small woods road cuts through the property and provides a rugged walk to explore parts of the property.
