Description
This property covers steep rolling hillsides of upland forest made up of transitional hardwoods (maple, oak, birch) mixed with white pine and hemlock. Ground Brook originates in the central part of the property and flows east towards West Brook.
Location, access, & parking
No parking area exists but the property can be accessed from Williamsburg Road and Webber Road. Williamsburg Road is blocked about 100 yards west of the intersection with Webber Road but it can be accessed on foot. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Hunting opportunities
Opportunities exist for hunting black bear, white-tailed deer, eastern coyote, and squirrel.
Fishing opportunities
Ground Brook provides fishing opportunities for native brook trout. West Brook provides fishing opportunities for native brook trout and reproducing brown trout in addition to stocked trout species. Visit mass.gov/trout for more information.
Wildlife viewing & other features
Grass Hill Road is an old town road that follows the west side of the WMA and can provide foot access for exploring the hills of the WMA.
