Otter River State Forest is a popular summer destination for a day trips and camping. You can hike, mountain bike, and swim.
Due to recent weather conditions, snowmobile trails are closed until further notice.

Daily parking fees from May 14 to Labor Day:

Non-MA residents   $30

  • Only 1 vehicle may be parked at your campsite.
    • Overflow lot located near Contact Station.
  • Swimming allowed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Swimming allowed at designated buoy areas only.
  • No alcohol
  • No littering
  • Dogs must remain on-leash

Camping is $17/night for Massachusetts residents and $54/night for non-residents. Small yurts are $45/night for Massachusetts residents and $120/night for non-residents. Large yurts are $54/night for Massachusetts residents and $140/night for non-residents. 

Walk-in campsite reservations are allowed, but it is recommended that you call ahead to check availability.

Reserving the pavilion costs $65.
