The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court invite interested attorneys to apply for appointment to a four-year term on the Board of Bar Overseers.
The Board of Bar Overseers adjudicates disciplinary charges brought by the Office of Bar Counsel. The Board's activities are governed by Supreme Judicial Court Rule 4:01 and the Rules of the Board of Bar Overseers.
The Justices will be making three appointments to the Board at this time. Applicants should be members of the Massachusetts bar in good standing. Attorneys with experience in small or larger law firms are specifically encouraged to apply. The Justices also encourage attorneys with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.
