OIG Academy Schedule and Class Information

The OIG Academy is the training program of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). We teach about procurement, contracting, fraud awareness, ethics and governance and provide best practices to assist public employees, private vendors and others in conducting legal and effective business with the Commonwealth and its local jurisdictions.

Registration for summer classes opens July 1, 2024. All classes are online unless otherwise noted.

Please read the OIG Academy Policies and the OIG Academy Online Class Technical Specifications before registering.

Registration closes two weeks before the class or training start date. The OIG Academy uses Blackboard®, an online learning platform, or other virtual platform, to host its online classes. Homework may be assigned to satisfy credit requirements. Blackboard or other virtual platform login information will be emailed to registrants two business days before a class starts.

Most full-day trainings begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

Each class is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The OIG Academy does not offer a waitlist for classes that have been filled. If a class of interest has been filled, please use our OIG Bulletin sign-up form to get the latest news on OIG Academy classes. Note that when registering for a class, the OIG will add your email to its mailing list but will not share it with outside entities.

To obtain a designation, you must successfully complete all three of our core classes — Public Contracting Overview, Supplies and Services Contracting and Design and Construction Contracting. Other requirements apply. If applicable, your municipality may be eligible for the One Free Designee program.
