Requesting Public Records from MCAD

We respect the people's access to public information and we strive to provide public records in a timely manner to the best of our ability.

Records Related to Ongoing Investigations

The MCAD issued Guidelines on Public Records on December 28, 2016, which describe how the Commission responds to public records requests. The Guidelines explain the Commission’s practice to withhold active complaints from the general public while the complaint is under investigation. The guidelines are available to download at the bottom of this page.

The newly proposed MCAD regulations, initially released for public comment on January 14, 2019, may be found on the MCAD Statute and Regulations web page.
