OIG Public Procurement and Chapter 30B Programs

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has a Chapter 30B (Uniform Procurement Act) team trained in public procurement who can provide you with technical guidance.

Chapter 30B is the law that governs the procurement of supplies, services and real property by cities, towns and other local jurisdictions in Massachusetts. It contains procedures to ensure open and fair competition for contracts paid for with public money. Please explore the many online public procurement resources we offer, including those related to compliance with Chapter 30B.
