The Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) has released a Notice of Upcoming Funding Opportunity for cranberry bog and coastal wetland restoration projects. When the official Request for Responses is released and the grant opportunity opens, DER will be seeking proposals for funding to advance early phase feasibility studies, project planning and design, and construction of both retired cranberry bog and coastal wetland restoration projects. The purpose of this funding is to support public and private entities engaged in the planning, design, and construction of restoration efforts to remove stressors that impair the function and resilience of wetland and stream habitats.

As part of this funding opportunity, there will be two categories of grant awards: 1) Planning and Design, and 2) Construction. Eligible applicants for both categories include any state, regional, or municipal organization, non-governmental agency, and public or private entity that either owns or has the authority to represent the owner of the proposed restoration project site. In addition, to be eligible for a construction grant, the proposed project must be an existing DER Priority Project.

Please visit COMMBUYS for more information.

This is an announcement only. A separate notice will be posted when the funding opportunity opens. The Request for Responses is anticipated to be issued Spring 2024.
