OSD administers the procurement process by establishing Statewide Contracts for goods and services that ensure best value, provide customer satisfaction and support the socioeconomic and environmental goals of the Commonwealth and by providing specific operational services.
Governor Patrick Announces a New Massachusetts Small Business Purchasing Program
On June 29 2010, Governor Deval L. Patrick signed an Executive Order establishing a new Massachusetts Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) within the Operational Services Division (OSD). The goal of the SBPP is to direct state spending for non-construction goods and services to eligible Massachusetts small businesses.
