Over the past year, ITD's Service Excellence program has worked to develop and refine a Chargeback model and set of operating principles that deliver cost-competitive services based on formally defined usage measures. ITD now provides customers with much more actionable data regarding their usage so they can manage their demand and work to drive down their costs.
ITD is Growing!
As of July 1, 2010, ITD officially added 49 employees to its workforce. Thirty-eight employees are from the Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EHS) and eleven employees are from the Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs (EEA) . These two groups are the first to transition to ITD as part of Infrastructure Consolidation. These employees will begin physically transitioning to ITD's MITC location in Chelsea and the Ashburton location in Boston beginning in late July through FY11. This is a very complex process and ITD staff has been working closely with EHS and EEA leadership to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.
This is a huge milestone in ITD's consolidation efforts. We'll provide timelines for new arrivals as the information becomes available.
LearnIT! Launched
On July 28, 2010, ITD announced the official launch of LearnIT!, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' new Information Technology Learning and Development Program.
LearnIT! programs are designed to help staff enhance their technical and business skills so they can continue to provide high-quality service to their Secretariat and grow and develop in their careers. Read more about the LearnIT! Program...
