Pathways Out of Poverty Grants
Due to the impending snowstorm, The Pathways Out of Poverty Grant Program has extended it’s deadline to Friday January 30th, at 3:00pm.
The Pathways Out of Poverty Grant Program supports job training programs directed toward the clean energy industry that move training participants towards financial self-sufficiency. Grants made through the Pathways Out of Poverty Grant Program are intended to support pathways towards economic self-sufficiency in the clean energy industry for low and moderate-income individuals. The targeted population for this initiative is individuals in households with incomes that do not exceed 300 percent of the federal poverty level or other self-sufficiency standard. Eligible Projects include, but are not limited to, providing job training, certification of relevant education and career coaching. This program is particularly targeted towards projects serving individuals in the Gateway Communities of Brockton, Fall River, Fitchburg, Haverhill, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, Pittsfield, Springfield and Worcester.
Funding of $1 million is available for five Pathways Out of Poverty grants. Exceptions may be made at the Secretary’s discretion. No match is required for these grants, although projects that leverage additional funding will be scored more highly in the evaluation process.
