New Grandfather License Application for Insulation CSL
Effective June 15, 2009 all insulation installers for 1 & 2 family dwellings and buildings less than 35,000 cu. ft., will be required to be licensed to work in Massachusetts. An Insulation Construction Supervisor License (ICSL) will be needed to pull a permit to do this work after this date.
The BBRS is aware that there are many insulation contractors in the region who have a wide breadth of knowledge and experience in this field. For this reason the BBRS is offering a ‘grandfather’ license provision which requires that the applicant attest to 5 years of experience supervising insulation work.
Please do not delay! Applications must be postmarked on or before May 29, 2009. Applications postmarked later than this date will be returned. If this deadline is missed then, among other things, a passing grade on an exam will be required to obtain the Insulation CSL.
