Small Business Opportunities
The ARRA provides additional funding opportunities for Massachusetts businesses. There are also new opportunities for commercial vendors to sell their products and services to Federal and State Government. We have a number of resources for businesses to access as they navigate the procurement system.
Federal Contracts
- If your business chooses to pursue federal contracting, the Federal Government requires you meet certain qualifications. To learn more about Federal Contracting requirements please visit Central Contractor Registration.

State Contracts
- The Commonwealth has qualifications and regulations your business must meet if your business chooses to pursue a state contract. To learn more visit the Procurement Information Center.

ProcurementTechnical Assistance Center
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), an advisory center of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network, offers assistance to guide small business through the federal procurement process. They provide a variety of services from training seminars to one-to-one consultation to assist small businesses who desire to become contractors and sub contractors, as well as helping current contractors increase their government market share.

Broadband Opportunities
The Massachusetts Broadband Institute along with the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development put together a comprehensive publication on Broadband Opportunities with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Energy Opportunities
The ARRA includes $62 billion to energy related appropriations and tax credits. The Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and the Clean Energy Center provides an overview of energy opportunities provided by the stimulus package.
