Pre-School and Kindergarten Standards in the Domains of Social-Emotional Development and Approaches to Play and Learning
The Department of Early Education and Care has scheduled three public hearings to receive comments and feedback regarding its adoption of Pre-School and Kindergarten Standards in the domains of Social-Emotional Development and Approaches to Play and Learning. Pre-K Science, Technology and Engineering Standards
The Pre-K Science and Technology/Engineering Standards (STE) are based on the Next Generation Science Standards. The Pre-K (STE) standards for preschool children, ages 2 years and 9 months through 5 years old, are the highest quality early learning and development standards for young children that articulate multi-domain expectations for children’s growth and support continuity in early education from birth through kindergarten. At the same time, these early learning and development standards will provide a foundation for creating learning and growth opportunities for children across all communities and families and across both informal and formal environments.

The Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Pre-Kindergarten to 12
The Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Pre-Kindergarten to 12 has been revised to reflect new links to the Preschool Guidelines Learning Experiences. Crosswalks for English Language Arts and Literacy and Crosswalks for Mathematics are to be used with the Preschool Learning Experiences to support planning and evaluating curriculum.

This resource provides content-specific guidelines for kindergarten-level implementation of the subject material that are aligned and kindergarten-level interpretations of selected learning standards from the relevant Massachusetts Curriculum Framework, and suggested activities to implement those standards at the kindergarten level.
