This forest provides a wide variety of recreational pursuits including, boating, swimming and fishing at Laurel Lake with its beautiful, brick-lined lakeshore, camping Link to the image file., picnicking, hunting, horseback riding and winter sports. The woodlands are interlaced by 8 miles of forest roads, and numerous trails lead to points of scenic interest.

Campground Office Hours: 9am–10pm
Camping Season: late May through Labor Day weekend

Park Directions

The forest is located in north central Massachusetts.

To Recreation Area & Campground:

From the East/Northeast/Southeast

Take I-495 to exit 29, Rt. 2 west.
Follow Rt. 2 west for 48 miles to exit 13, Rt. 2A east. (No “Exit 13” sign)
Drive 0.5 mile on Rt. 2A east and turn left onto Moss Brook Rd.
Drive 2 miles on Moss Brook Rd. and turn left onto Long Pond Rd.
Drive 0.5 mile on Long Pond Rd.
Park contact station is on the left.
