Costitution Beach - view of airport

Constitution Beach is one of Boston's hidden waterfront gems.  It is a popular spot for swimming.  In general, Lifeguards are on duty June- Labor Day.  The new bathhouse and concession stand add to the park’s appeal.  Views of Boston Harbor and Logan Airport can be enjoyed while sitting under the sheltered benches.  Recreational opportunities abound here at the large playground and baseball field or at the tennis, basketball and handball courts. The large open field interspersed with trees and shrubs provides space for picnics, or playing frisbee.  The many different trees and shrubs on the property attract a variety of birds adding to the areas charm. An award winning pedestrian overpass across the MBTA (Public Transportation) tracks connects the local community to the park, and creates a welcoming gateway.  The park is open year round from dawn to dusk, is accessible by public transportation and provides ample parking.
