The Office of Fishing and Boating Access(FBA)provides boat and canoe access sites, shore fishing areas, and sport fishing piers at more than 275 locations on coastal waters, great ponds and rivers throughout Massachusetts.
The Department of Fish & Game, in conjunction with the Public Access Board, acquires property and easements for the purpose of providing access; and, through the FBA, designs, constructs, manages, and improves facilities statewide.
- Access Sites
These sites are mostly boat launch areas, boat ramps or designated fishing areas or piers that have been designed and built by the FBA . The table contains links to maps of many of the sites, pond maps from MassWildlife where available, and additional descriptive information such as the facility type and the fish species typically fished for.
