Join Waypoint Adventure for a spring hike at historic and beautiful Walden Pond State Reservation! We'll meet at the visitor's center and hike in the woods next to the pond, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch and natural interpretation from Walden Pond park staff. We will hike between 1.5-3 miles around a wooded path. The terrain is mild to moderate with some roots and rocks. This program is open to people with disabilities and their families and friends.

You will need to pre-register for the program and meet our essential eligibility criteria for hiking.

Cost for the program is flexible based on need. One parent/friend/PCA of program participant with a disability can attend at no charge.

What to bring (if you do not have any of these items, Waypoint can provide gear for you to borrow):

  • Small back pack or bag to carry your things
  • Lunch or snacks
  • Water bottle
  • Sun protection
  • Sneakers or hiking boots
  • Warm layers
