TECHNOLOGY AND PROCUREMENT SUBCOMMITTE

LAW ENFORCEMENT BODY WORN CAMERA TASK FORCE.

Date: January 10, 2022

Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Place: Microsoft Teams (Virtual Meeting – access link posted publicly on mass.gov)

 

Subcommittee Members Present:

Tim Mitchell, Executive Office of Technology and Support Services

Deborah Batista, Executive Vice President, New England Police Benevolent Association

 

Subcommittee Member Absent:

Sheriff Patrick McDermott, Massachusetts Sheriffs’ Association

 

Staff:

Daniel Nakamoto, EOPSS (Board Advisor)

 

 

  1. Approval of Minutes

 

Upon motion made and seconded. The minutes of the Technology and Procurement Subcommittee meeting held on December 22, 2021 were approved.

 

  1. Review of Selected Standards and Best Practices

 

Subcommittee were fine with the standards and best practices selected at the last meeting.  No changes were made.

 

  1. Other Issues

 

All the mandated items for Subcommittee deliberations have been addressed.  There were no other issues which the Subcommittee believed needed to be addressed.

 

  1. Next Steps

Daniel will compile a report detailing the Technology & Procurement recommendations for submission to the Drafting Subcommittee.  Subcommittee members will review and send any comments or edits to Daniel.

 

  1. Next Meeting

Subcommittee did not feel another meeting was necessary unless there were significant concerns raised on the draft recommendations.

 

Upon motion made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 9:10.
