About the CHIPS & Science Act

The CHIPS and Science Act aims to boost American semiconductor research, development, and production. This legislation will strengthen U.S. leadership in semiconductor technology and will enable technology research and production to support the next generation of nanotechnology, clean energy, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and more. It seeks to spread economic growth and prosperity to disadvantaged communities, with a focus on promoting equitable economic development.
