How to request a SafetyWorks Consultation
To request a free, confidential SafetyWorks visit in Massachusetts, fill out our request form. A supervisor, manager, or business owner must submit the request. Once we receive it, a member of the SafetyWorks team will contact you to schedule a visit at a time that works for you.
What to expect during a SafetyWorks Consultation
A trained workplace safety consultant will come to your workplace and help you:
- Recognize safety hazards
- Sample for air and noise exposures
- Reduce or eliminate hazards
- Develop or improve a safety program
- Comply with OSHA regulations
- Identify training needs
During the Visit
The consultation process follows three main steps:
- Opening Conference – We’ll start by reviewing the consultation process, explaining what to expect, and discussing your workplace goals.
- Walk-Through – Our consultant will tour your workplace to identify potential hazards, explain relevant OSHA standards, and recommend solutions to improve safety.
- Closing Conference – We’ll summarize the findings, review recommended solutions, and agree on timelines for addressing any hazards.
After the Visit
After the visit, you will receive a detailed written report outlining the findings, recommendations, and the timelines agreed upon during the consultation. Employers are responsible for correcting all serious or imminent hazards within the agreed timeframe. Once the corrections are completed, employers confirm their completion, and a follow-up visit may be scheduled if needed to ensure workplace safety improvements.
