Memo
The Massachusetts Corporation Division has made a limited number of business entity certificates available online. These online certificates will have affixed to them the Massachusetts State Seal with a unique certificate number as well as the state website address where the unique certificate number may be verified for authenticity.
The verification page can also be accessed by clicking on “E-Certificate Verification” under Certificates & Certified Copies on the Secretary of State homepage.
At this time verification by the Registry Districts is not required.
The following certificates are currently available electronically:
- Domestic Profit Corporations: Good Standing, Legal Existence, Dissolution
- Foreign Corporations: Good Standing, Registration, Revocation, Withdrawal
- Non Profit Corporations: Good Standing, Legal Existence, Dissolution
- Limited Partnership: Legal Existence
- Voluntary Associations & Trusts: Legal Existence, Fees Paid
