BuildMassBonds:
Invest in our Future

Invest locally. Invest in Massachusetts.

Please note: The Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), a public instrumentality of the Commonwealth, is tentatively scheduled to offer Dedicated Sales Tax Bonds, 2011 Series B, to individual investors exclusively during a special order period on October 26, 2011

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Buy Massachusetts Bonds website.

The purpose of this website is to reach out to Massachusetts residents interested in investing in the capital financing of the Commonwealth. This website will give you information on bonds that will be issued by the Commonwealth, and Commonwealth agencies and authorities, such as the MSBA. This website will also provide links to the Preliminary Official Statement for the bonds being issued and the phone numbers of registered broker-dealers through whom you can purchase the bonds during early order periods for individual investors.

Through the Buy Massachusetts Bonds website, we have made participation in Commonwealth bond sales easier for Massachusetts residents. We will continue to offer bonds during early order periods so that Massachusetts residents can have priority in placing orders for bonds issued by the Commonwealth and its agencies.

Since its creation in 2004, the MSBA has made over $8 billion in grant payments to cities, towns, and regional school districts in order to help local communities create and maintain affordable, sustainable, and efficient learning environments for school children across the Commonwealth. By purchasing bonds issued by the Commonwealth and its agencies and authorities, such as the MSBA, investors are contributing to the Commonwealth’s statewide program to re-invest in public infrastructure, including schools, roads, bridges, water and sewer systems, water pollution abatement projects, public parks, public college and university facilities, and other important projects.

I encourage you to visit this website frequently to learn of upcoming bond sales.

Sincerely,

Steven Grossman

State Treasurer & Receiver General
