Station A-3 in Concord stands prominently on Route 2, nestled between MCI Concord to the south and Northeast Correctional to the north. This historic three-story brick Colonial structure, constructed in the 1930s as part of the WPA program under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, was initially established on Route 2 before the construction of Routes 128/95, 495, and the Massachusetts Turnpike, serving a vital east/west travel route. Now, the station's area of operation extends over 237 square miles, encompassing 14 cities and towns, and includes the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section, also known as the "Truck Team," renowned as a national exemplar for enforcement agencies. Additionally, the Concord Barracks supports security and law enforcement efforts at Hanscom Air Force Base and collaborates with Park Rangers at the storied Minuteman National Park.
