The facilities listed below have been approved by the Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) under 310 CMR 30.393 to accept household hazardous waste from residents on an ongoing basis. Some may also accept waste from small businesses. Household hazardous waste includes common household items that contain toxic chemicals and need to be handled properly. Call or refer to individual facility web sites for complete lists of items accepted, fees and days/hours of operation. Contact your town or city to learn if it has scheduled any seasonal hazardous household waste collection events, as these are not included in the table below.
