On November 24, 2015, MassDEP amended the 2015 Drinking Water Intended Use Plan to incorporate extended term financing. This amendment allows the Clean Water Trust to finance drinking water loans for a term up to and including 30 years as long as the asset has a useful life exceeding the term of the loan. In order to incorporate extended term financing, the Clean Water Trust had to seek approval from the EPA. The EPA approved the Trust’s request on November 12, 2015.
