Visit a Farmers' Market Near You.Whether you live in the city or suburbs, there is a farmers' market near you. From now until the fall, you can find local growers with freshly-harvested fruits and vegetables in town squares, parks, and other public spaces. At many farmers' markets you'll also find other farm products, including baked goods, jams and jellies, maple products, honey, cheeses, flowers, and eggs.
Eating locally grown fruits and vegetables is good for you, and it may even save you a few dollars. Many farmers' markets have a festive atmosphere that makes them a fun place to shop. Take the kids, pick out what you'll be having for dinner together, and enjoy the great local produce of summer!
