Veterans' Bonus Division

The Veterans’ Bonus Division is proud to provide bonus payments for veterans, servicemembers, and their families who were domicile (home of record) in Massachusetts for at least six months before entering the military and served during a wartime period or participated in a combat operation.

• Out of state students that attended school in Massachusetts are not considered domicile in Massachusetts for the purpose of this bonus.

• Out of state active-duty military personnel that are not originally from Massachusetts are not considered domicile in Massachusetts for the purpose of this bonus.

Who we serve

Through our program, we serve veterans of the Commonwealth and their families by providing financial assistance when eligible. The Veterans' Bonus Division distributes bonuses for eligible active duty, discharged, and deceased Massachusetts veterans who served during various conflicts in single or multiple deployments.

  • Veterans from Massachusetts that were discharged with an Other Than Honorable discharge due to their sexual orientation or HIV status maybe eligible for a bonus if they meet the other bonus requirements (From Massachusetts, served during wartime or participated in combat operation).
 
  • Veterans from Massachusetts who received an Other Than Honorable discharge but served honorably during a previous enlistment may be eligible for a bonus(es) for the enlistment that was served under honorable conditions.
