Outdoor Advertising and Signage

The MassDOT Office of Outdoor Advertising is charged with regulating and controlling, the erection and maintenance of off-premise billboards, signs and other advertising devices in the Commonwealth.

Licenses are issued to firms and individuals wishing to engage in the business of outdoor advertising, and permits are issued on an annual basis for the erection and maintenance of signs.
