Priority of Service for Veterans

Priority of service requires that our Veterans and their eligible spouses receive priority throughout the full array of services provided through the One-Stop Career Center System. 

Local Veterans' Employment Representatives (LVERs)

Local Veterans' Employment Representatives (LVERS) are state employees located in the state's One-Stop Career Centers. Their job is to provide job search services to veterans.  Contact your LVER.  

Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP)

Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program Specialists (DVOPS) develop job and training opportunities for veterans, with special emphasis on veterans with service-connected disabilities.

Veterans' Workforce Investment Program (VWIP)

The Veteran's Workforce Investment Program (VWIP) is a statewide program that addresses the unique needs of veterans seeking employment, training, job counseling and related services and to develop and promote maximum employment opportunities for eligible veterans.

Hiring Incentive Training Program (HITG)

The HITG Program assists companies in paying for training of new employees that meet certain criteria. As a preference for veterans, the 6-month or longer unemployment requirement is waived for qualified veterans.

Apprenticeship for Veterans

Did you know that veterans, Reservists and National Guard members, who are employed as registered apprentices, may be eligible to collect G.I. Bill payments in addition to their regular full-time wages?
