Opportunity Zone Conference
Overview
The conference will feature discussions on emerging investment strategies and how communities can maximize opportunity zone impact, as well as provide networking opportunities with investors, elected officials, developers, and municipal leaders.
Opportunity Zones are a new community development program established by the U.S. Congress in the Tax Cuts and Jobs act of 2017 to encourage investments in low-income communities nationwide. Governor Charlie Baker nominated 138 opportunity zones in Massachusetts, which were approved by the U.S. Treasury in May 2018.
