Overview of Quarterly Tea with MOD: Municipal Commissions on Disability (CODs)
Note: This webinar has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 from 10 - 11:30 AM. It was originally scheduled for December 19th, 2024.
Municipal Commissions on Disability (CODs) advise municipal governments on the disability community’s needs in their city or town. They are established by town meeting or city council vote. MOD provides information and guidance to help CODs get started, understand their role and responsibilities, and reach their goals.
This webinar is for current COD members and individuals interested in starting a COD in their city or town. We will discuss various helpful topics for CODs, including:
- Starting and funding a COD,
- COD roles and responsibilities,
- Key regulations,
- Advocacy resources for CODs, and
- Setting COD goals
MOD does not discriminate on the basis of disability and is committed to providing accessible programs, meetings, and events. To request reasonable modification to participate in a training, please contact MOD General Counsel Julia O'Leary at julia.e.oleary@mass.gov or (857) 214-1081. Requests made after January 16, 2025 will be considered but may not be possible to fill.
