The Details of Central (Chelsea) Mail Services
Features for Central (Chelsea) Mail Services
EOTSS provides Central Mail Services, including bursting, folding, inserting, metering, pre-sorting and barcoding to as low as a 5-digit sort, and postage services for customer agencies across the Commonwealth at our MITC facility in Chelsea.
The facility is equipped with 5 Inserters, 2 Mail Metering Machines for small or non-standard jobs and 1 Fluence Automation Barcoder/Sorter.
The facility generally operates 6 days per week on Monday through Saturday from 6:00am – 4:00pm, excluding holidays and other Commonwealth office closures.
This service includes:
- Working with customers to ensure proper scheduling and quality control.
- Inserting single or multiple pages into either a # 10 envelope, a 6x9.5 envelope, or a flat envelope.
- Using Verification software to avoid double stuffing envelopes (agency programming required).
- Depositing checks into postal accounts.
- Providing monthly expenditure reports on postage usage.
- Maintaining proper postage in the meters.
- Maintaining envelope inventory for the customer agencies.
- Providing system maintenance on all equipment in the mail room.
- Delivering mail daily to US Postal Office.
