What you need

Licenses are available for renewal 90 days before their expiration date. 

To renew a real estate or salesperson license, you need to complete 12 hours of continuing education. View Licensed real estate schools in Massachusetts to find a school near you. 

During a renewal year, your license needs to be renewed on your birthday. 

Business and school licenses must be renewed every 2 years. 

You will need your Record ID and authorization code. Both can be found on the renewal form that was mailed to your address.

You’ll also need the last four digits of your Social Security number and your license serial number. 

You can use this app to find your authorization code if you have your license number, the last four digits of your Social Security or Federal Identification number, and license serial number.

How to renew

The move to our new licensing system, eLIPSE, has begun for the Real Estate Brokers & Salespersons boards.

All licensing functions for Real Estate Brokers & Salespersons are now disabled in ePLACE. The new eLIPSE system is expected to be available on Monday, June 16 at 12 p.m.
