Overview
The APHVC Internal Operations Manager enables the recruitment, selection, and placement of volunteers and team leads; oversees onboarding and off-boarding processes; provides leadership and support to the APHVC; and develops and manages efficient operational systems. They interface with the AHD and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) in service of the APHVC mission.
Responsibilities
- Volunteer and Team Lead Placement
- Recruit, screen, and pair volunteers and team leads to LBOHs and Central teams
- Maintain the database of volunteers and team leads
- Facilitate and track volunteer and team lead onboarding/offboarding
- Design and distribute new volunteer recruitment surveys as needed
- Allocate projects to field or Central teams
- Internal Communication
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process improvements for existing APHVC systems
- Maintain Team Lead Listserv
- Survey Team Leads for project updates/availability
- Collect deliverables from team leads for shared drive
- Leadership and Engagement:
- Plan and facilitate team lead orientation
- Communicate relevant updates and announcements with entire volunteer pool
- Interfacing with the AHD and MDPH
- Report concerns, events, successes and questions raised within the APHVC to the AHD
- Work with MDPH Coordinator of Quality Improvement and Academic Partnerships to ensure develop and implement operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Availability 15-20 hours per week
